Thanks to Seinfeld, and notes.....

To all at Seinfeld, I as a viewer and long-time fan loved the final episode. After reading all the idiocy that's been going on in this newsgroup since the announcement of the final episode, I'm really glad you pulled off something that seemed to get under the skin of the people that frequent this space.

I usually find some rather interesting and intelligent conversation around here, but the end of the series has turned the patrons of this newsgroup into a bunch of quasi-fans. The few fans that do stand up for the show appear outnumbered, which is sad, considering this place really is *generally* supported by true fans.

People that didn't like it seem to feel slighted about something they don't want to reveal other than "it wasn't funny". People that did like it simply snap back saying that "it was". I laughed the first 45 minutes, except for the last five minutes when I tried not to let the tears start flowing. I chuckled and watched with extreme anticipation for the last hour and fifteen, and felt satisfied with the closure provided. I'm sorry you couldn't just *watch* the show, and drop your expectations a little.

Well, to all the Seinfeld cast, crew, and fans, a little goup hug. **hug** Right on. I'll miss you guys.

To the detractors, well, as Diamond Joe Quimby once said:

    I agree. It was well written, and it  was for real fans.
    I would say that the "unfans" wouldn't get it perhaps,
    but longtime fans of the show do. I've got about  130
    episodes on tape....watch it often, and it meant something
    to me, certainly. Besides, they're coming back in a year,
    that point could not have been *more* obvious.

    These players have stated repeatedly that they are tired out,
    they need a break. The pains they went through to get the
    best laughs for every scene, I'm grateful for that.
    With all the pure crap on television, I salute the cast and crew
    of one of the last great shows.
