Just wondering....why did Kramer not make an appearance in "The Chinese Restaurant" episode? And is there any other episode where one of the characters was missing?

I don't know why Kramer wasn't there. However, I believe there are a few episodes where Elaine was missing. Probably due to the fact that she has been pregnat on the show twice and needed maternity leave. I think they explained it one time that Elaine was on a trip in Europe.

I don't think there is any one reason why Kramer isn't in The Chinese Restuarant episode, they just didn't write him in the script, and honestly he wasn't missed in this episode. I noticed in some of the earlier episodes Kramer doesn't appear as much. And as for your other question, in The Pen, Kramer and George don't appear, only Jerry and Elaine with his parents in Florida.

have seen him going out to eat with everybody by prior
