Suppose the episode that was the finale ran in the middle of the season, or was just the SEASON finale...we'd all be raving how great it was.

And you'd be wrong. Not funny is not funny. This finale will live on in TV history as a mixed-bag disappointment, and, like most series finales, will be seldom shown on syndication and much sought-after on videotape.
