i was watching Kramer stumble toward the AIDS walk finish line [The Sponge] and believe that was a reference to Gabriele Andersen-Scheiss' finish in the 1984 Olympic Women's Marathon. it was the first women's Olympic marathon and her finish is one of the most famous images of those games.
for those who haven't seen it, she was suffering from heat prostration and spent an eternity staggering around the last lap in the Los Angeles Coliseum. it was much like Kramer finishing the AIDS walk only it was much longer and even less funny.
