Seinfeld cast interestingly keeps away from media.

It's really interesting how the cast of the highest rated show of the season keeps so quiet. They never go on talk shows (Jay and Dave), they never make appearences on other shows (Sitcoms or Dramas), they NEVER do magazine interviews, especially M. Richards and J. Seinfeld.

J. Alexander is more open to the media, and he periodically does movies.

J. Louis-Dreyffus is hardly in the media at all.

Jerry Seinfeld is very quiet.

Michael Richards is extremely reclusive, I never hear about him on TV or in magazines.

The "Friends" cast is all over, even people like unknown Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond on CBS) seems to be getting more press than Seinfeld. ER is always getting some sort of press. There's always controversey going on with just about every show and it's cast, but not with Seinfeld. Interesting.

Yeah, ive noticed that too. I think its because while other shows (ie friends) need lots of pr and sexy actors to get ratings, the writing and acting on seinfeld (which are completely absent on other shows ie friends) speaks for itself. The original and best must-see tv.

Jerry does interviews (like for TV Guide, GQ...things like that), I see Michael Richards all the time on Entertainment Tonight & Extra. They're all mentioned on E! a lot. I was just watching Benson (Im trying to find the episodes that Jerry was on) & found out that the man who plays Morty Seinfeld played Benson's lazy neighbor in his condo complex. He looked exactly like he does now (& even dresses like Morty) Does anyone have the episodes of Jerry recorded on Benson? Im going crazy trying to watch Benson every day so I can see him on there.

I have noticed this too. George and Elaine are in movies more often than the rest, but still not much. However, the cast of The-Seinfeld-wanna-be show (a.k.a. "Friends") is all over (and I'm not JUST talking about the movie screen!) ;) peace, Alysha

Richards was recently on a commercial for an automobile.

The actors on other popular shows (Friends, for instance) are not like those on Seinfeld. They are generally younger and have something to prove. Richards and J. Alexander (at least them) have already done so much. Jennifer Aniston is doing what, her first movie now? They are still getting their feet wet, while the members of the Seinfeld cast are swimming in the deep end.

Not so... A few years back I remember seeing Mike on Late Night with Dave......... doing his "flying" shit as only he can........

Hell, this sunday, he and Julia are in this new made-for-TV movie...... (God save the Queen, or something) along with Crazier Frane, and some other NBC wimps........ :) Does anyone recall Mike in this movie where he's in prison as a deranged felon and there's a scene where the warden is up above the prison jim area and Mike picks up a dumbbell and yells out : "Hey, warden..... Catch this!" throwing the dumbbell at the warden... Awesome scene I guess it was a Problem Child I or II movie.... don't reemmber.

Regarding Georgie... He's going to appear as a blind guy in the upcoming episode of Nanny.....

Also, I've seen Jason Alexander on Howard Stern E! shows every now and then. Jerry won't go on b/c Howard makes fun of Shoshana<sp?>.

Just to add other rare sightings (pre-Sein). M.R. was also in the dreadful "Problem Child" and a SNL ripoff that used to be on Friday nights, J.A. can be found in "Pretty Woman", and ofcourse J.L.D. used to be a part of SNL. One 'must see' if you can ever get the footage is Michael Richards on the 'Tonight Show' probably early 80's. He did a standup routine where he exercised on a rowing machine. The thing flipped on its side and he was still rowing back and forth, spinning in circles, you can imagine what he could turn that into...

Jerry was on the Howard Stern show but I dont think they taped it for E!
