I fully agree. George's behavior in the 2/8 episode was irreprehensible. He deserved what he got.

Anyway, I don't know why people are criticizing George. I think all four of them are petty, superficial, and neurotic.
I agree, George is great. His pathetice character is a great source of humor for the show.

This is a case of trying to analyze Seinfeld as if it were a Dostoyevsky novel.
The problem with the Tomei/Susan's Death sequence was simply that it wasn't funny. It was as if the writers had locked themselves into a bad place with the engagement and were desperate to get out.
As for the Sitcom 100 university approach, I place a Pez dispenser on your lap as you write the final exam.

Yep, George IS irritating, and he definately is a weasle. But without George, the show just wouldn't be the same. Jerry is probably the biggest loser - why does he always give up when he screws things up with his girlfriends - it's so frustrating.

Nothing George has done warrants the physical violence that was displayed on the program. The show seems to indicate that it is okay to punch someone for being "irritating" or even a liar. I hope you are not serious.
