Tonight's Show (1-15)

I thought that tonight's show was one of the best of the season. It was well written and very funny. Any thoughts?

Liked the man fur. It was also fun watching everyone get a "job" at the party. "Don't tap on the glass."

That was a good part. And they included one sweeping (or is it panning) shot of the whole gang; each doing their assigned job. Jerry "Don't tap on the glass", then they show George answer the phone, "Joe Mayo's apartment...", then Puddy telling the person assigned to do the music to take the glass off the stereo equipment, then the cut to Elaine putting the coats on the bed.

The scene flowed very well.

It included rehashes of things already used in the past that worked a lot better back then (throwing things out of windows, backwards-cigarette in the mouth). I thought it was one of the best shows in recent months, or even years. Every character acted in characteristica and funny ways: Elaine demonstrating both how self-centered and howmanipulative she can be (throwing the coat out, then coming on to newman to get it back), George working out one of his schemes to save money and not so incidentally benefit himself, Kramer coming up with a typically harebrained idea that backfires on him. Even Puddy, who has been overused this season, was funny in the bits with the coats and the job at the party.

There were two inconsistencies that I noticed. First, Elaine says that she has never gone out with Puddy in the winter before; of course we know this isn't true, because the first time we saw her go out with him they were going to a hockey game. Second, when Newman and elaine are talking about Newman reading Elaine's mail; this is impossible, because we know from the episode when Newman was getting the calzones for George that Newman's route is in the Bronx.

Setting that to the side, I laughed out loud several times, and so did my wife and kids. A very successful show overall.

Oct. 3 - April 11 is the Devil's regular season not including Playoffs that go 'til late May or June. Winter goes from Dec 21 to March 21 (or so) So there are a lot of games not in the Winter.

Newman never said he read her mail on his ROUTE - perhaps since he is interested in Elaine he could have intercepted her mail in the Post Office or got it from a co-worker.

I don't remember all of the details of "The Face Painter" episode ( like the weather), but I do know that the hockey playoffs last until June, which isn't exactly winter.
