Fans view 'The Slicer' positively as a return to classic episode quality with believable yet funny subplots, praising Kramer's slicer storyline and Elaine's neighbor troubles.

It looks like Seinfeld is beginning to return to the "classic" type episodes. Last night's was a very good attempt, and I hope the shows improve even more as the season progresses (next week's episode has a lot of potential) . None of the subplots were far-fetched, but they were innovative and funny which is what the writers should strive for. Kramer's "slicer" subplot was a hoot, as well as Elaine's troubles with her neighbor (we also got a genuine [address] thrown in for good measure) . Jerry's was was strong, too, and was consistent with his overanalytical character. George's had some funny moments but was only average; still some credit has to be given to the neat subplot. Overall, quite impressive!
