OK, which one of you was the one that wrote into ESPNs survey about the NBA lockout? Every week, on the Sports Reporters, they pose a question to be answered on the ESPN website for the whole week. On the next show they have the results and show one comment from people on both sides of the issue. This week they showed a comment from someone saying that we should all forget the lockout and enjoy basketball. The person who wrote the comment was named H.G. Pennypacker...........BWAAHAHAHAAHHHAAA

Really? That's so cool. Too cool for words. Did Dick Schaap have a clue what the inside joke meant, or did he think the comment really came from a Mr. Pennypacker?

Oops....not the send button idiot..... Actually they never mentioned it at all, it was just on the screen. BTW what are the correct initials, I've tried to listed closely and they never sound the same two times in a row......

Actually, that's something of a bone of contention between us. I've listened over and over (and over) and it seems to sound more like "H.E." to me, but Adam says it's H.G.

If you say the letters "H.G." out loud, you hear this little pause between the "CH" sound at the end of H (aitch) and the beginning of the "G" sound. The pause doesn't seem to exist in Kramer's pronunciation, so it just seemed logical that the initials were either "H.E." or "A.G." Both of these combos sound virtually identical.

Further proof there is no limit to the level of detail that can be
discussed in this newsgroup.  It's like looking at fractals!
