First I'd likle to say that I'm sorry if this topic has been disucssed before and that you shouldn't get me wrong as I am a huge seinfeld fan with all the episodes.

What I just like to say that I was shocked after wacthing The Cafe epuisode to see that second tme round Elaine got an IQ score of 150. Either they got it wrong in the show or Eliane is a genius or it was the same IQ test as the first one and Eliane completed it with heindsight (hope I've spelt it right). I beileve the last option to be true.

I had deduced that the national IQ is 100 (well in the UK anyway) after watching The National IQ with Anne Robinson and Philip Schofield.

It wasn't nessecarily true that Elaine had an IQ of 85 after taking the first test becase as Jerry said (even though he meant it as a joke) it was gender biased. Crrect me wrong but the IQ test depends on ones gender and age. Obviously Elainbe had to tick male cos she was doing the test for George.

I must reiterate that I'm a huge fan and I still love this episode with Kramer and hius "lucky" jacket and the "statue of laws"

85, 1 SD below the mean. Only 16 percent of the population have an IQ at or below 85.

IQ tests today, good ones, are NOT sex biased (God I hate the word gender, of course that is not your fault, anyone know a psychologist?) That is actually a very clever joke the writer's prt. Someone in there took more than a little psych. Of course, psychology is the most popular major in North American universitites. And, it is what all the cool kids do.....

Elaine CLAIMED to have an IQ of 145.

She got an 85 on her first try for George.

Benes ended up getting a 151 on her second try at the test.

I think there should be more psychiatrists rather than psychologists: why go to the park and fly a kite when you can just pop a pill? :)

Indeed. However, psychiatrist couldn't begin to do the kind of work I do. I am, after all, a delicate genius.
