Conan's Friends Joke

Just a second ago, I overheard Conan Obrien's corny "In the Year 2000" skit.

"In the year 2000... the cast of 'Friends' will once again hold out for a pay raise. Much to the amusement of the owner of the Walmart where they all work."

Conan O'Brian isn't funny.

I can't vouch for Conan's sense of humor on his show, since I never stay up late enough to watch it. He wrote and produced some very funny episodes of "The Simpsons" and the show went decidedly downhill when he left.

In any case, after watching last night's "Friends" rerun, I'm beginning to feel very sorry for whoever bought syndication rights to the show and payed big bucks when it was way up there in the ratings. The show does not have "legs"--the ability to get you to watch the same episodes over and over again and still enjoy them, a la "Seinfeld." I found watching this episode for just the second time to be an annoying experience. Why watch? you may ask. Well, it was on Thursday night at 9 PM on NBC and I'm sort of conditioned to tune in at that time. :-)

They're both funny, but I do prefer Andy. I loved the ep where they showed what he did while Conan was talking to the guests....LOL...
