Someone emailed me with this message. It is allegedly true that clairol tests their products on animals, which is terrible. I am printing the message here in the event that anyone wants to do what the message states.

Dear Seinfeld fans, do you think Elaine Benes is pretty funny? We all do. But the person who plays her character, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, pulls in a 7 figure salary from Clairol, a company that does cruel, hideous, unecessary tests on animals. Examples of these worthless tests are the eye irritancy tests (dropping toxic chemicals into the eyes of albino rabbits) and the acute toxicity tests (aka leathal dose and poisoning tests.) Post a message on alt.tv.seinfeld to Julia letting her know that you don't think it's very funny to endorse cruelty. Tell her to ask Clairol to put a permanent ban on animal testing. Tell her to call for a Clairol boycott until they do. Suggest that she donate some of her 7 figure salary from Clairol to the PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS.
