Viewer complains that TBS edited out a scene with Newman's sports car from "The Muffin Tops" episode and criticizes aggressive commercial editing that removes significant portions of syndicated shows.

Isn't the muffin top episode the one where Newman as The Cleaner pulls up in the sports car? I didn't see the car on TBS tonight - was it cut out or did I miss it? I hate thinking about how badly TBS butchers shows. And showing ads right during the show - and glossing over the credits. GREED!!!

You guys are REALLY funny. I guess you can't see the point that after a while about half your show will be left and the rest will be commercials. During the show, ads will play constantly.

MAybe you've never been outside the country - to places like Ireland or the UK - where shows of this same caliber and syndication expense are shown in their entirety. But you don't want to consider that - you just want to take what you're served and lap it up with a spoon.

You're right - I'm REALLY stupid and I NEVER thought TBS might be trying to make money. kma.

I can scan channel after channel at some randomly chosen time and see nothing but ads. At 57 minutes after the hour, I could understand and live with it. But not when this happens day after day, hour after hour. Seinfeld reruns are not particularly bad, I know the program structure and when the breaks are likely to be. I can wash dishes during the middle of the show ads. But that is the only show I can predict with fair accuracy. The others are going to be taped.

I have a DVR so fast forwarding through ads is easy.   But you can't do much
about ads overlayed against the actual show.  And it seems wrong to zap the
credits off.   Sure I can look it all up on imdb - but my Nana doesn't want
to do that.  She can't even open the catsup bottle.

Actually, I believe that Newman pulling up in the car has never been shown in any the syndication cuts. It's never been in our local Fox affilates' airing of the program that I've seen. It always cuts right to Newman walking in. The only times I've seen it was during the original network airings and, of course, the clip of it while the Theme From Superman is playing during the Highlights show.
