Excuse me but,I'm usually a huge fan.But the latest episodes are [address] tried to defend it at the beginning of the end,but I have noticed their making trash.I enjoy the syndication,but I dont even want to watch the SHIT there showing on primetime.What was the last piece of shit about? The Van Buren Boys,That was crap.They did'nt even do anything with that ridiculos George and Kramer talk with Jerry.A message to anybody who works for the show....STOP SHOWING [address] SO STUPID I SHOULD THROW UP. GET YOUR SHOW BACK TOGETHER.OR KILL IT WHEN IT HAS ANY TRACES OF DIGNITY LEFT IN THE DRAINED SHOW YOU PUT OUT EVERY WEEK.

You're probably referring to Larry David, and yes, it seems more than coincidence that the shows demise occured after his departure. He was indeed a writer, but his main contribution seemed more in the line of idea man and VETOING or changing bad scripts (much of Seinfeld's best stuff has come from other writers). I doubt Larry would have let an episode as bad as "The Soul Mate" on this year.

Keep in mind also this year, we have a new editor in the form of Skip Collector (I also suspect we have a new technical director too, but haven't confirmed this). Any how, the EDITOR for the "Glory Years" of Seinfeld (seasons 2-7) was Janet Ashikaga. She did a marvelous job with the great writing, and really made the show look seamless, despite it's fast-paced nature. Skip is competent, but his work hasn't been as good or as seamless as Janet's. Part of it also may be he's not getting the shots he needs (which is why I suspect a new technical director is lurking about).

I agree - this year is a collection of empty attempts at finding the old magic - but it is not there without Lary DAVID.

The cast is still great but they don't have the same brilliant material. That does not mean many people don't find the show funny (The three stooges are funny too) but it isnot the same type of tight, interconnected, clver situations.

TRACES OF DIGNITY

Maybe the show isn't as great as it was the first five seasons, but what great comedy is? IMHO, Seinfeld, Friends, Frasier, Larry Sanders, and NewsRadio are far and away the best comedies on television (for that matter, the ONLY comedies I bother watching). They are not all gems, but this past week's episode was golden. You should give it another shot.
