Sorry for the nonsensical subject line. Every time I try to post here, whatever I type in the subject line was already used so my post gets buried in some really old thread and my question doesn't get answered. I'm quite positive that my random keyboard-pounding will generate a new thread. Anywho.....how do you make vcd's? I've got almost the whole series (170 eps)on a recently recorded, stereo-sound, rarely-viewed collection and I am anxious to create vcd's for them to preserve the quality. Just FYI, I have no intention of selling, trading or otherwise dealing my vcd collection; it will be for my own household use. thanks in advance.

Before someone flames you (and they may still :), I'll try to give some helpful advice.... Usenet newsgroup message threading is *not* dependent on the subject of the post/message--at least it is not intended to be. It is actually each person's particular newsreader (Outlook Express, Google, etc.) that takes care of threading the messages once the headers are downloaded from the newserver...and this is *not* typically based on subject, but certain information included in the message header.

Anyway, the point being: I suspect this is a problem with your newsreader settings and everyone else (including myself) is seeing your posts fine. I certainly see the one titled "How to Make VCD's" right above this "non-sensical subject" post just fine.

It looks like you're using Google to post? I've never used Google to post, but perhaps I can take a look at it and suggest a few things to try if you want...

FYI - it's easy once you learn and know what youre doing; 3 years ago took me few 10-packs to learn, now there is much better software and *lots* of info out there, imho it should take you now much less time than it took me back then ;)
