Bathroom Conditions

Well, earlier, (a couple weeks ago) I started a thread about Kramers "bathing conditions"...this time, I'm going for Georges Bathroom Conditions :) (Just call me Mr.Bathroom or something).

Last nights syndacation showed that George *ALWAYS* takes his shirt off when he goes to the bathroom, however, in the episode where George gives the unemployment office the "laytex salesmen" story (for Vandelay Industries), at the end, when Kramer answers the phone, George comes running out, WITH his shirt *ON* BUT his Pants down, therefor there is a 90% chance that he WOULDN'T have put his shirt on, if he left his pants down. Did this episode air BEFORE or AFTER the one with "laytex sales"? Just another inconsistancey I noticed, that kind of makes me mad, becuase I thought seinfeld was the ONLY show that stayed consistant and didn't change in every eopisode..guess not?

Ok, that made you mad?? What about the great plots?? Do you expect them to remember every little detail like that for every show? No. Why not forget about little things and don't get all pissed when they forget. Geez.

LOL MAN! That episode last night was probably the 3rd funniest episode I'VE EVER SEEN!! I LOVED IT! (especially george eating "above the rim") I said it "kind of makes me mad"...didn't say i'm "all pissed" or anything..."geez"... Just wanted to know if this episode was BEFORE or AFTER...because seinfeld is USUALLY the best about remembering things...don't take it personally dude :)

He had his pants down because he was on the toilet and probably heard someone pick up the telephone and ran out before he could finish urinating.

I think the original poster's point was, that being the case, why wasn't his shirt also off if he didn't have time to pull up his pants before running out of the bathroom.

Speaking of inconsistencies, what about Elaines method of birth control? There was one episode where she's talking to Jerry's virgin about her diaphram, then there is the "sponge-worthy" episode. I guess all these inconsistencies will turn up when Seinfield ends up on Nick at Nite in about 10 years or so, eh?

The diaphragm episode occurs a couple of years before the episodes that reference the sponge. I think it's likely that Elaine just switched.

The latex salesman episode occurred much earlier, in the episode called "The Boyfriend". There are a couple of possible explanations. One is that George may not have started the "taking off the shirt" habit until AFTER "The Boyfriend". People do change their habits now and then. Second, although George said he "always" takes his shirt off to get more comfortable, that may have been an exaggeration. In the "Boyfriend" he knew there was a possibility of the phone call coming in, so he may have left his shirt on so he could get out in a hurry.

Pardon me if someone has already made this observation, but this is one inconsistency that has always bothered me.

In one episode, much is made of Jerry's not having vomited since he was fourteen. In another episdoe, Elaine and George share a laugh over Jerry's style of vomiting. This implies that he has vomited in the presence of both (in separate incidents), and probably more than once.

Anyone else catch this?

Another inconsistency would be Kramer saying he didn't know it was possible to come out of a coma (episode where Kramer rented a movie based on a coma) and yet he knew about Jerry's neighbor coming out of a coma. You know the one with the girlfriend who wanted to kiss Jerry right in front of his comatose body!!

I've been doing news groups for about a "whopping" month now...and I've seen a LOT of responces, questions answered, etc...and i have to say THIS was THE BEST! Such a GOOD point! :) LOL Anna, you really made me crack up :)
