	I just discovered this newsgroup the other day and i really think this
is a lot of fun! Does anyone know what the first episode was of

The first episode was actually called "The Seinfeld Chronicles", with the story known as "Male Unbonding". It aired July 5, 1989. Julia Louis-Dreyfus did not appear. Monk's Cafe was then known as Pete's Luncheonette. Let's all celebrate the 8th anniversary this July 5th.

It was titled "The Seinfeld Chronicles" and aired in July 1989. Elaine was not a character and Kramer wasn't called Kramer (he was scripted as Hoffman but I don't think anybody's sure). The basic plot line was that a woman whom Jerry had met on the road was coming to NYC for a few days and wanted to stay at his place. He was unsure if this was a friendly visit or something a little more. I won't give away what happened to anyone who may not have seen it yet, but it was very good for a first attempt at a non-traditional sitcom.

Uhhh..... I have this episode on tape if anyone would like a copy, but I'm in Australia so postage and handling may cost a fair bit. It's on PAL but I can convert to NTSC (i think, my video player can do it but I haven't tried to but I'll work it out)

they recently played the old series in Australia and I have the first episode and the 2nd episode (First episode with Elaine)
