Elaine's new hairstyle

The hairstyle Elaine is wearing now is so much better than that poof-thing she had going on in previous seasons. I also like it when she wears it straight (the time when she saw George naked, at the Broadway show with the deaf guy, etc.). But for some reason, she's looking a lot older these days. Her make-up seems so much more dramatic. (I know JLD just had a baby and all, but still, she gained about ten years in one season.) She's also dressing a lot more hip.

Also, does Elaine own a car or not. She once offered to pick Jerry up from the airport (Jerry bought his father a Cadillac episode), and I think she's made a few other references to that fact. But yet, she's always taking cabs, cating the train, and bumming rides off Kramer and Jerry.

One more thing -- Who is John Voight (as in the John Voight car)?

	Jon Voight is an actor, who was in "Midnight Cowboy" among
other things.  If you knew about that movie, this episode would have
been much more funny for you.  For example, the last scene with Jerry
and Kramer on a bus is a parody of a scene in the movie, and the music
was the movie's theme song.
	John Voight, however, is a dentist who really did own George's
car.

It IS nice to see Elaine being more versatile. She does look a bit older, but then again the show has also been running for a few years. The schedules that actors keep can be pretty draining sometimes.

Elaine owning a car is yet another Seinfeld inconsistency. She seems to have one, yet we never see her use it. Perhaps it's always in the shop!

Jon Voight is/was an actor (he hasn't been in sight for YEARS, so I can understand your not knowing who he is). I think he was in "Midnight Cowboy", and a few other obscure movies from the 70's. But his most notable role (IMHO) was in The Deliverance, with Burt Reynolds.

You're right Elaine was sent off to Europe while JLD had a baby.

She probably owns a car. This is just a guess though. It's just that while a lot of New Yorkers own cars, they also manage to spend money on taxis and trains. And for the bumming the rides -- yah, prolly always in the shop!

John Voight is nobody. Jon Voight is an actor.

He was on the same episode as the one you are describing. Kramer spots him getting into a Taxi, reaches into the window, and Jon bites his arm. So George takes a pencil that was in John's car (that had teeth marks in it) and compares them to Kramers arm.

Actually John Voight is the person that had previously owned the car that George had mistaken for Jon Voight the actor's car. John Voight (the car owner) was some type of dental surgeon.

Well, J-o-n Voight is an actor who starred with Dustin Hoffman in "Midnight Cowboy." J-o-h-n Voight is a periodontist friend of Kramer's dentist, Tim Whatley. (Major point of contention in that episode.)
