In last night's episode (9/6 about thesuede jacket) Jerry's apartment was quite different from what I usually see. Was this from a different season?

Viewers notice differences in Jerry's apartment and Kramer's appearance, attributing them to the episode being from an early season.

I notice that the last few days Kramer has had a day old growth of beard. At the start, Kramer was a real doofus, almost indescribable. Later, he shaved, got more social, and shows flashes of brilliance and erudition ( how else pronounce Yeats correctly?) and a lot of street smarts. He had a real personality makeover. I attribute the revised apartment to an early ( first full season, but I'm guessing) episode.
I sure wish they would let the people on this newsgroup determine the running order. So many of the shows are run all too often and some excellent shows hardly ever.
