What the Hell is the deal with the Re-runs??

How is it that CBS stations across the country are airing the same reruns in a random order?

It is so annoying to watch an episode and not know why thigns are funny. For example, in The Wife (with Courtney Cox) Jerry puts on a jacket to go to breakfast. She feels his jacket (as in the Bra Interview one) and asks is this cashmere (from The Red Dot) and he says no it's Gortex, It's new (from the Gortext jacket one (which they haven't re-run yet, at least where I watch them)). My CBS station ran The Wife before any of the others. When this happens the entire scene is blown. Seinfeld was written in order (like most sit-coms) and it's important that they be re-ran in order. I'm sure there are several examples such as the one provided. Is anyone else's local CBS station doing this? Who can I send my comments to? Are all these CBS affiliates cooperating on the re-runs?

All of the stations (CBS or not), are running the same episodes in the same order. I think this has more to do with the syndication order than the stations themselves. Of course, I could be wrong...:)

Actually, it has nothing to do with CBS. It just so happens in your area, the local CBS station has the sydication rights. Here, the one in South Bend is on NBC, and the one in Chicago is on Fox. And the reason for the out-of-order is I believe that's how the syndication company is feeding them out. Almost all of the stations that I know of show the same episode on any particular day. I think someone else has mentioned that all will be released eventually, but I'm not sure if that'll cure the out-of-order problem. It's kind of annoying when certain gags run for more than one episode, and they dont' run them in order.

Just thought that you all would like to know this. I can catch Seinfeld reruns on two different stations (KXXV-ABC Ch.25 Waco-Temple-Killeen/Bryan-College Station and KHTV-WB Ch. 39 Houston) and they both air the same Seinfeld episodes.

The same is also true with two other stations I watch when I go back home. KSWO-ABC Ch.7 Lawton-Wichita Falls and the Chicago FOX station.
