Will NBC ever release all the tapes to be sold?

Or is that up to Jerry. Who owns them? do you think they'll ever become legally available?

NBC, or whoever that has the rights to the show, must be pretty stupid if they don't release them, maybe they'll just wait and see how much more milk they can squeeze out from their golden cow in the syndication run. Isn't Friends out legally (not that I care)? I mean, Seinfeld isn't exactly one of these everlasting dumb-shows - nearly every episode is a comedic masterpiece and deserves to be in every persons video collection. Eventually they WILL release it!

I think NBC is out of the picture. They no longer have rights to air any episodes, I don't see how they could have retained video licensing rights.

Gee thanks! I still have a few sets available. I would also like to remind you that thus far EVERY SINGLE customer of mine has been extremely satisfied with my collection and none have regreted their investment.

Don't hold your breath. That would be like killing the goose that laid the golden egg. Just ask CBS-- they've never sold tapes of "Dallas" and consequently the show is still doing well in syndication, 8 years later. (If you don't believe me, witness how active the al.tv.dallas newsgroup is-- it's every bit as active as this one, with people talking about episodes they need to tape, etc.)

Maybe the Columbia House Television Video club will release them as a subscription soon. It's an excellent possibility if you ask me. If they do, that I'd be willing to subscribe to.

As much as I would like to see them come out in video I really don't think we will see them for about 8-10 years if we ever see them at all. They are in syndication right now and I think that will last at least four to seven years. (mind you this is to my knowledge in reference to the other top rated shows off prime time Cheers, Cosby Show, MASH). Then from what I have read in the news and entertainment, another cable station I believe TNT has bought the rights after that. I'm not sure which former shows actually have a video collection to their name. Wouldn't Castle Rock be selling it if they were to? Columbia Tristar is only a distribution company.

If tapes/DVDs are ever released, do you think they'll be in syndication form (with an extra 60 seconds edited out) or as they were when they first aired? I'd like to think that they'd be as they originally were, but you never know.
