Let's finally put an end to the George is Jewish thread! The other night when "The Opposite" aired, I noticed that Jerry mentioned that George's God must be "The Anti-Christ", since the new George is the exact opposite of the old George.
So, in fact, Jerry is telling us that George is Christian.
But George's speech, mannerisms, etc. are still very Jewish, even for a New Yorker.
Must be the unmistakeable link to Larry David, on whom the character's based.
