Wasn't this scene supposed to be a take off onThe Graduate with Jerry in the Dustin Hoffman part and his date's stepmother Mrs. Robinson? If not I was wasting a lot of laughs. Sharon Ahearn "And haply of our old acquaintance tell."

I kept thinking the same thing --- definitly the Graduate ---- I thought it was very funny --- I even thought the speed dial thing was pretty funny --- and true to a point --- not that people keep changing the ranking but the more important the person the lower the number.

Re-reading my post, I realized that I suggested "Seinfeld Vs. Seinfeld" as another Dustin Hoffman role for Jerry, which would be a spoof of "Kramer Vs. Kramer."

It might be better to get Kenny Kramer to do a guest shot and do a REAL "Kramer Vs. Kramer" spoof with Michael Richards! :-)

I think we may have already seen this, in the "Pilot" episodes where Michael Richards' Kramer has the encounter with the guy who plays Kramer in "Jerry." I remember hearing a radio interview with Kenny Kramer where the interviewers asked whether Richards consciously patterns his character after the real KK. KK said that Richards made a point of NOT learning how the real KK behaved so he could create his own character. KK says he was okay with this - even flattered that such a brilliant comedian would be playing him on TV - but I always wondered if the antagonism between Kramer on "Seinfeld" and the Kramer on "Jerry" is based on the encounter between Richards and KK, somehow.
