Do most of you know this already? I can't be sure. Do I regret posting it? Remains to be seen. :)
One of Andy Ackerman's credits include serving as 'videotape editor' on "WKRP in Cincinnati" back in the early 80's. His name can be seen in the end credits of the re-runs that play every afternoon at 4:30 on the Comedy Network up here in Canada. I'm watching it a couple of weeks ago and go, "Hey! Andy Ackerman!" I'm surprised I didn't notice it years ago.
This had to have been brought up before (or maybe it's so glaringly obvious that I'm the only one it's dawned on since the episode ran...but what the hell, I'll post it anyway.) In "The Mom and Pop Store," Jerry steps in gum. George won't let him in Jon Voight's Lebaron with gummy shoes, so they go back to Jerry's apartment so Jerry can change them. Kramer, however, has taken every pair of Jerry's sneakers to Mom and Pop's for "complete detailing." Jerry exclaims, "so what am I supposed to wear now?" and gets stuck with a pair of cowboy boots he got as payment for a show he did in Dallas once. Obviously he could have just cleaned the gum off the sneakers he was wearing, instead of having to wear the 'ridiculous and uncomfortable' cowboy boots. But his sneakers are laying right there on the floor beside him when he tries the boots on. Of course the boots figure in the the storyline a little further, and we wouldn't have gotten the "but I don't wanna be a cowboy!" line; I'm just saying they could've made sure Jerry kicked the sneakers out of sight into the kitchen or something, so it wouldn't be so obvious!
Like I said, minor.
