Fans discuss Jerry Seinfeld's frequent references to cows, recalling specific instances including stand-up bits about leather jackets and McDonald's, plus a cow-patterned crockpot.

As everyone probably knows/noticed, one of Jerry's favourite long-lasting subjects are cows. I wonder were there any references to cows during the show? Beside one short stand-up opening act for one of the show's episode I can't recall any other. Anyone remember something else?

What about the McDonalds skit, "10 million billion billion... bug macs sold" where he says how they must want the cows just to surrender themselves... line up outside the abbatuar or something. "Why don't they just put a sign that says 'McDonalds, we're doing very well!'"

You may be thinking of "The Jacket", where Jerry ruins an expensive suede jacket while meeting Elaine's father. The closing stand-up bit:

JERRY: I had a leather jacket that got ruined. Now, why does moisture ruin leather? I don't get this. Aren't cows ouside most of the time? I don't understand it. When it's raining do cows go up to the farmhouse, "Let us in, we're all wearing leather.. Open the door! We're gonna ruin the whole outfit here.." "Is it suede?" "I am suede, the whole thing is suede, I can't have this cleaned. It's all I got!"

Good one.

How about Jerry comparing George's "morbidly obese" wallet to his burger in "The Reverse Peephole"?

"You got more cow here [in the wallet] than here [in the burger]."

Dave (knows of at least two other cow refs but wants to give others a chance.)

Elaine: You had an affair with Ghandhi?

ROTFL! that's a good one ;=)

Another comedy genius who has a thing for cows is Gary Larson, creator of my fav comic strip The Far Side. Cows are funny because they have a mystery to them, a human quality that makes them look like they are in deep thought, all the while chewing on cud.

A salad, a barbecued steak, a baked potato and a slice of chocolate cake may well be the world's perfect meal.

I'm not much of a steak aficionado--I find it a bit boring. (I know, I know; "heresy", right?) But gimme some spicy steak fajitas and I'll be ready to send all cows to the meatpackers. :-)

Oh, and with those fajitas I'll have some salsa. "Excuse me, do you have salsa? We need more salsa. Where is the salsa? No salsa?"

Either way, "Beef. It's what's for dinner."

Ah, you just like to say 'salsa'.
