I guess it depends on your location, as to which channel it'll be on, but I just saw a commercial that said it's on at 10:00PM tonight in SoFla.
Gotta get the VCR warmed up, it's been a while since I've taped an episode of anything.

Kramer was there first, remember a scene when Jerry is moving in & Kramer comes over. Jerry welcomes him, and you can see Kramer ready to make himself at home.
In the MAY episode Jamie wants Paul to rid himself of his old apartment as it signifies to her that Paul has not made a complete commitment to their marriage. Paul says any New Yorker would understand you don't get rid of a rent controlled apartment when you can sublet it to someone else (Kramer) to cover the cost.
ALSO - if Paul DID rid himself of the lease wouldn't Kramer's rent go sky high? New Yorkers?

As a former New Yorker, let me put my 2 cents in regarding rent controlled apartments.
Normally, a tenant is not permitted to sub-let a rent-controlled apartment. It's a clear violation of the lease and the rent control guidelines and would be grounds for eviction. A family member may pass on his lease to another family member (parent to child; aunt/uncle to niece/nephew) if that family member was a part of the lessee's household and lived in the apartment for a certain period of time (three years I believe).
If the entire apartment complex is still under rent control, the landlord can only raise the rent a maximum of 15% due to an exchange of tenants. If the landlord paints or otherwise upgrades the apartment, he may be entitled to an additional 5% to 10% rent increase.
If the landlord was granted permission to de-rent-control the entire apartment complex, each individual apartment would be de-controlled *only* with a change of tenants and the landlord could charge whatever traffic would allow to re-rent the apartment.
My aunt and uncle lived in a rent controlled apartment in Brooklyn. Their initial rent was $78.00 per month for a 5-room apartment. Thirty years later, their rent had risen to $105.00 per month. This was the maximum allowable increase permitted under the rent control statute. Since no other family member lived there during the previous 3 years, the apartment was returned to the landlord after they died. (I would guess that the fair market rent for that apartment would be between $750 to $900 depending on improvements.)
If I were cynical, I would say that you would sooner get rid of a spouse than you would a rent controlled apartment.

There are a series of inconsitencies that were created by pilot show Seinfeld Chronicles, Mad About You & The Backward Episode - The Betrayal. Seinfeld Chronicles has Kessler living across the hall from Jerry. Jerry knows him as Kessler and has known him for some time when the pilot episode was first aired. Mad About You has Kramer subletting the apartment from Paul Buchman. Jerry was living there when Buchman lived in the apartment because in the Mad About You episode Paul Buchman asks about Jerry across the hall. The Backward Episode (The Betrayal) tries to make us believe that Jerry meets Kramer the first day Jerry moves in and that Kessler is just a name on the mailbox. In my opinion, The Betrayal was a weak & poorly thought out attempt to explain the origin of the name Kessler without regard to what actually occured in the Seinfeld Chronicles Show (pilot). Mad About You just added to the confusion. Do you really think Kramer has a cat?
The fact that Paul knew Jerry doesn't necessarily mean that Jerry was there when he lived there. He could have met him via Kramer. I don't recall the episode too well but ISTR the way he asked implying that Jerry was Kramer's friend, rather than Paul's.
. Although many situations can explain Jerry being there before or after Buchman, my personal impression was that Buchman was recalling Jerry as a former neighbor. It was just the way he looked at Jerry's apt door and recalled who he remembered living there and asked Kramer to confirm if Jerry was STILL living there.
Wait a minute. How can Kramer meet Buchman? Since George and Susan watch MAY, doesn't that make Paul Buchman a fictional character in the Seinfeld continuum?
Who said Paul Buchman is on the Mad About You series in the Seinfeld continuum? We are never shown any scenes from the show & I do not believe any of the characters are discussed by George & Susan.
That depends on how you look at it. Since Buchman is a director who goes on to make a documentary of his family, and MAY is basically roughly about his marriage and life, then it's possible that in Seinfeld, Buchman went on to make MAY.
I saw a very weird continuum in a rerun of The Nanny. Fran Fine goes to LA and meets Fran Dresher and asks her about the show. Also, I think they occasionally watch the show and make jokes about how unrealistic it is for a nanny to wear all those designer clothes on her salary.
So, as you can see, the Seinfeld continuum wouldn't be all that strange.
