I agree with "don't buy Packard Bell". I had a Packard Bell, about five years ago. The main problem that I see with them: Very difficult to do large upgrades. It seems that was the way they were then and still are.

My dad has a PB, I feel sorry for the SOB! That is the way PB's are designed, the consumer is forced to constantly upgrade from line one PB's are not designed for upgrading, they are however designed for cost. IMHO I think that a clone built is the only way to relay be satisfied. The only problem is that most computer users do not know how to build their own computer from scratch. I was lucky enough to learn through my employer. I am proud to say I built my own PC from scratch. & it screams past any computer any of my friends have. If anyone is interested in how to build their own, do some research. I do know of classes that teach you how to do it. A friend up in KC took one and was very pleased with the knowledge he gained. Please post any comments/suggestions on classes.
