My absolute favorite George lie was in 'The Pitch/The Ticket'. George claims to have written an 'off-off'-Broadway musical comedy entitled 'La Cocina' about a Mexican chef called 'Pepe', to impress the NBC execs when asked about his credentials. He claims that a moving company lost all copies of the script.

Second favorite is Vandelay Industries.

Third is the one about the little-known beatnik writer called Art Vandelay and his book 'Venetian Blinds' (not to be confused with the Inporter/Exporter)

Fourth would be when he wore a wedding-band to get women, and when questioned he claimed that his wife was an Enthopologist.

Any other good lies? Have I missed any?

Here are some others,

1. His masquerade as a Marine Biologist (although it was Jerry who actually started the lie) 2. His claim that the photo of Jerry's girlfriend was actually a photo of his late fiancee Susan so that he could enter the forbidden city. 3. His wanting to have a menage a trois with his girlfriend and her male roommate in the Label Maker 4. His attempt to cover up that Gary Fogel did not have cancer (Is that your poker face.) 5. His use of the "outed gay relationship" with Jerry to try to break up with his girlfriend ("I'm steeped in gayness"). 6. His attempt to get the death in the family discount for his flight with his girlfriend to Detroit. 7. The scheme to smuggle a Marble Rye back into the Ross' house. 8. The caper with Elaine taking the IQ test for him. 9. His pretending to be busy with the Pensky file. 10. His use of consultations with Elaine's importer/exporter boyfriend Art Van Delay as a cover for his meeting with Marissa Tomei 11. His pretending to be unaware of the red dot on the cashmere sweater that he gave Elaine. 12. His excuses as to why he barged out when there was a fire at the children's party.

My favoie #12......Fireman: "How do you live with yourself" George "It's not Easy" Yeggster

How about his spiel about the octupus losing its nose when he was pretending to be a marine biologist. His comment "you can still see a bump where the nostrils used to be" is the mark of an accomplished liar. Details MAKE the lie. Stacey C.

I agree that George's second best set of lies deal with Vandelay Industries. However, my favorite George lie was telling his mother that he was a porn star with the stage name "Buck Naked". (It came to my mind during last week's episode, "The Bomb", when George had his risque photo shoot. A sex symbol for the nineties?)
