Having watched and loved 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', I'm amazed at the continuing comic genius of Larry David. To have created a whole new series which is very distinct from Seinfeld, as well as working in movies and writing, is admirable.
Seinfeld however is content to rest on his laurels and do the odd bit of stand up. I've seen him guesting on a few talk shows and to be frank these days I think he stinks. He seems to have lost all his timing and adopted a smug 'comic' persona which is thoroughly unlikeable.
So thinking back to Seinfeld the series, it seems obvious now where the real talent was - the inventiveness and the writing of Larry and his team and the superb acting of the main cast and supporting players. Seinfeld was good but his contribution now seems diminished.
