Correct me if I'm stupid (or if this has been asked) but did I see about 10 cereal boxes in the cabinet in Jerry's kitchen? Also, as any bachelor can confirm, there is WAY too much food in his fridge! No guy living alone (that I know) keeps that much food in there. All that yogurt, too, SHEESH!

YES!!! Finally! I have been noticing this since the first season. Nobody I watch with ever finds this as odd and amusing as I do. It is a reference to one of Jerry's stand up routines where he talks on about cereal. Much like the Superman-Jerry connection, the boxes are a treat for regular viewers.

of cereal! My cupboard has--no, wait. You have to understand this: I CAN"T
BELIEVE I'm adding a follow-up to this post!!!!! (I also can't believe it's
not butter!) Being single, I took a tip from Jerry by eating and loving cereal
. It's easy to make! It's great for a sweet snack (or healthy snack depending
on your favorite cereal).
In my house you never know what you'll be in the mood for. Froot Loops or
Peanut Butter Crunch? Raisin Bran or Cheerios? Frosted Flakes or Life?
(That last one sounds like a jail sentence!)
Plus, being College Boy I'm always looking for bargains and coupons, such
as buy one, get one free), and cereal is expensive! As Library Detective
Bookman can tell you, if you don't open it, it keeps forever. You buy a box,
put it in a cupboard, and forget about it!
Oh my gosh, I answered this. I'm telling the world I'm pro-cereal. Isn't
that the seventh sign of the apocolypse? Boy, and I thought the SHOW was
about nothing... It's going to be a long summer... O O

Specifically, the episode dealing with the breasts of Jerry's girlfriend (which ending with "They're real, and they're magnificent." or something like that) When Elaine and the girlfriend are talking, the girlfriend speaks of her man's strange connection to Superman. Err...are you sure that's her? I always thought that the woman who played opposite Superman in Lois & Clark was Penny Parker from MacGyver. I'm pretty sure she wasn't the one who played Sidra...anyone know for sure?

That's the reason I have it, tho, if someone is willing to make me ham & eggs, then I skip the cereal.
The problem is that I have a different taste everyday, so every box has been opened.
I'm pro-cereal also... and i think it's the sixth sign, the seventh being george getting a job.

Well, obviously you don't know our Jerry. The show has mentioned many times that Jerry is a neat freak and a wonderful homemaker. It would be just like his admittedly anal-retentive personality to have much food (he knows he has to feed his friends), a clean kitchen, and cool appliances/pots/pans/etc.

Generally, flakes go with flakes, though type grain can take precedence. For example, my favorite right now is Honey Nut Cheerios mixed with Quaker Toasted Oatmeal cereal.
