I know have the full 4.8 meg wav file on my site thanks to Dave who just sent me the original version.
Wayne Snell of Toronto's Ryerson Polytechnical University created the file but his site no longer exists so I hope he is happy people still enjoy his work. I got a real charge out hearing it again. It is very clever in the way he develops the ideas in it.

Tried to convert Mike's wav file to MP-3 using several of the MP-3 converters (Cdex & Ultimate Encoder). The problem seemed to be that the wav file is an 8-bit file and MP-3 converters require a 16-bit file. Also, this file is 22,050 Hz and MP-3 converters require a higher Hz.
If anyone else has been able to convert this wav to MP-3 please provide specifics. Thanks.

I managed to encode it using Xing MP3 Encoder. I did it as 32Kbps, 22KHz, Mono. Resulting file is 850KB. I might be able to get it smaller, but this one sounds little different to the original (through my PC speakers, anyway).
I've offered it to Mike to put up for download if he wishes.

MP3 players such as Sonique and WinAmp are easily downloadable and either player, together with the Seintology file (in MP3 format), would still be at least 50% smaller than the wav file.
Even Windows Media Player 6.1 or 6.2 has the ability to play MP3 files and I'm about 90% sure that Real Player G-2 can play them as well. (MP3 is a very popular format).
Since it is a mono sound clip, I would think there would be no audible quality difference between the wav and MP3 file. MP3 just takes up a lot less hard drive space.

Realplayer G-2 can handle MP3s with a 52K plug-in which it may ask for if you don't have it. It will then go and grab it for you from RN.
