In last Thursday's episode Kramer complains about having to take a bath, yet in a previous episode he claims he only takes baths. Did anyone else notice the inconsistency?

In today's syndicated episode - the "Murphy Brown" one for those of you who did not see it - Kramer is caught taking a bath in jerry's bathroom.
I guess that experience soured him on that form of personal hygiene, since in Thursday's episode he exclaims that baths are repugnant.
Of course a lot can happen in a few years...

This IS Kramer we're talking about. Perhaps he changes his mind about the subject from time to time.

Maybe he meant he only took "hot tub baths."
He did admit to taking those. Germs couldn't live in that water he said.
He was happily taking a bath in Jerry's bathroom in the episode where everyone had everyone else's apartment keys.
This has really nothing to do with Kramers inconsistency, BUT: Kramer DO take baths! In the episode where Jerry has to take his spare-keys from Kramer, Kramer is using Jerry's bath-tub when Jerry comes home from a trip and he REALLY has to go...
