CYE - new season

That's terrible. It's an awful show that seems to be designed mainly to reinforce all the bad Jewish sterotypes. Larry David plays the role of a hateful Jew whose only redeeming quality is his wife. Played by Cheryl Hines.

I watched many epsiodes and they all had this same recurring theme and damned little humor.

It's been nominated for, and won, too many awards for it to be as bad as you think it is.

their own kind. That is to say that they live in a world where their click is their world. A very strong fraternity or brotherhood. When one is fined by the FCC or attacked by the media, they all pretty much rise to the occasion. This is a fairly natural reaction in tightly knit group such as theirs. When someone does something that works once, you also tend to get a lot of repitition. There is a general attitude amongst comedians that if one is not constantly pushing the edge of the envelope against the FCC, the powers that be, and societies mores, that they are not being true to their art. It is seen as the litmus test for a pecking order in this fraternity. This goal has surpassed the goal of being funny. It is more important to be edgy. I believe what made the Seinfeld series so great was the fact that job 1 was to to be funny. CYE seems to sometimes take it's eye off the prize. Tearing down sacred cows comes before being funny. The show has it's moments, but they seem to few and far between.
