Is there any way to find out whether Keith Hernandez made an error on June 14, 1987 at Shea Stadium, allowing the Phillies a 5-run ninth and a victory over the Mets??
As I'm sure you'll all recall, this is the reason Newman hollered "nice game pretty boy" at Hernandez after the game and then the whole spitter/2nd spitter incident occurred.

Though I don't know of any way to check this on the internet, there's a surefire way of checking it "the old way". That is, newspaper archives. Most papers have all of their back issues on microfiche, the NY Times is probably a good bet. Many Universities that subscribe to the paper will have the info on film free of charge.
Either way, that was one of the best episodes ever in m opinion. The whole kennedy-Dallas re-creation, especially the double emphasis on "back and to the left", while replaying Kramer's head movements really made the show!
