Why does Jerry dislike Newman so much??????

I don't know. I think Jerry finds Newman disgusting and/or Newman is jealous of Jerry. The funniest hellooo Newman was in the Raincoats when Mrs. Seinfeld said it.

Maybe it has something to do with Jerry and Elaine's past. Jeremy

There's the episode where Jerry goes out with an ex of Newman's... don't remember the name of the ep or the girl, but he finds out that Newman dumped her - the humiliation! I know there was animosity before this, but this didn't really help.

   This post got me to thinking... if they do make a follow up movie or
special to the Seinfeld series, wouldn't it be interesting if it was set
in the past so we could get a history of the characters?  The Newman
incident; The Jerry and Elaine saga; Maybe some sibling tales...

1. Newman is just annoying. I think the later episodes, when he goes from being annoying to being pure evil, are weaker because they are so incredible.

2. This just goes to show that they really blew it. The backwards episode should have been the finale, or, to be more accurate, the concept for the backwards episode should have been the finale, with the exact same final scene as the actual backwards episode used.
