When Jerry wanted to perform the roommate switch, and suggested an orgy, but it backfired and she accepted and George was telling him how good the situation was, blah blah blah, we've all seen the episode. Anyway, when he says to George "I'd have to get new friends; I'd have to get orgy friends!" I always thought it would've been funny had George replied "I can be an orgy friend! I can be Orgy Georgie!"

Of course, I really wouldn't want him to say that. It's pretty stupid and out of character. But it sounds funny. One of them things you don't have to think about.

Totally different situations!! Jerry declined being with 2 women. George declined being with a woman and another MAN. Thus, I understand George's refusal, but not Jerry's.

Not true.  Watch it again.  Where would the 'mystery woman'
have come from?  It was obvious they had just been discussing
Scott (the roommate) when George mentioned the menage, then
Scott walks in, George thinks he's 'out', but gets thrown for a loop
when his plan backfires.  Resolved perfectly with George screaming
at the end.  Your 'true to the characters' ending would have made
no sense at all.
