Best final episodes

Actually, I wopuld have liked to have seen the episode the 2 Mikes wrote as a finale. The show always did have its good moments when those two got together on some bizarre running gag (there was a great one about closets once).

NBC nixed the finale that, in order to avoid lame reunions 5 years later, had the whole family go to Disneyworld and perish in a plane crash (actually, all except the little kid.) I saw MJFox being interviewed shortly after, and he and MGross said it was one of the funniest scripts they'd ever seen.

Go figure.

St Elsewhere's final episode SUCKED!!!!!! Turns out the whole series was the imagination of the autistic kid looking into one of those plastic things you shake to make snow. (Inside the bubble was a building that looked like the St. Eligus). Asuchlander ws still alive, he was autistic kid's grandfather, and the other doctor (I can't think of his name right now...) was his son, and was actually a construction worker.

Personally I hated Newharts ending too. It may have been cute, Bob waking up in his Chicago apt. next to Suzanne Plichette, but again, the whole series was a dream. Ending series' like that is a cop-out on "Dallas" scale. (The whole Bobby in the shower crap.)

There were some good endings to tv shows, and many were mentioned here. MTM, Barney Miller, M*A*S*H, but theses other shows cheated their fans.

Just one question. How did Barney Miller end? I never saw it. Thanks john
