Question about George's boss

I dont know if its been duscussed lately but I have to ask this: I know that George boss's face was never shown, but I think that the actor is the actor that was Murphy Brown's boss, and the directort of "beautyful woman" and its sequal. is it correct? thanx

Either way, though, you're wrong. Steinbrenner was played by Lee Bear (body) and Larry David (voice). I think Larry may have done the body occasionally also, but there was never anyone else.

Actually, I heard that David only played Steinbrenner in one single episode. In all others, it was bear.

I don't know which episode, but it shouldn't be tough to spot now that I'm looking for it. David is tiny compared to Bear, I'll just look for "Little Stein".

You're thinking of Garry Marshall (Penny Marshall's brother) who Directed "Pretty Woman" on the big screen and produced "Happy Days" on the t.v. screen. Marshall's voice sounds similar to Larry David's (the "Seinfeld" voice of "big Stein") - both have a heavy New York (Brooklyn?) accent.

Oh and, if those two had Brooklyn accents, then it's safe to say I don't have one...Of course coming from Brooklyn (the neighborhood where "Welcome Back, Kotter" took place, in fact the opening scenes were shot just a block down from me) I'd have expected to one day learn I had a heavy Brooklyn accent.
