Hoo Boy. Not good (in my opinion).

His first segment was (almost) completely physical schtick...tripping, falling, knocking things over, wrestling with Jay. He told a couple of stories about his stand-up days (probably the best part of his appearance).

After the commercial, he showed "outtakes" from the Michael Richards Show...clips of other cast members (William Duvane, Tim Meadows) "accidentally" calling his detective character Kramer. In the final clip, Newman walked on the set of the new show and said, "Helllllo, Kramer."

After the clips, he offered to introduce Jay to the ensemble cast of his show...he then brought out a parade of assorted people...an old guy with a walker (who he called William Duvane), blonde twins, Terry Bradshaw, Gary Coleman, a buxom hooker, a dog and about ten more folks.

All in all, while the desired effect of the appearance seemed to be a wildness, it came off as very flat--too rehearsed, no spontaneity.
