Is this the last season?

I've heard the show won't carry on into the next season. Is that true? I also heard it's because Michael Richards (Kramer) doesn't want to do it anymore. If this is true, it's a real damn shame, I think even after 8 years, this sitcom still has a great potential and definitely remains the best cotemporary show by far.

I've seen in several messages in this Newsgroup and heard through a friend that Seinfeld is sticking around for at least one more year!
