Seinfeld: the making of an American Icon

the new issue of entertainment weekly says a book called "seinfeld: the making of an american icon" is coming out in august. i just checked amazon and it's listed there. finally, a big book on jerry!

this book is coming out in august, it's mentioned in entertainment weekly this week and is already on amazon for advance orders...what would we all like to know about that might be in an unauthorized book like this? what i read in the ny daily news is the book is supposed to be a biography as a show fanzine type thing like the ones that came out when the show ended...a serious book. interesting.

Y'know, it's funny you should mention that! I just happened to meet the real Jerry Seinfeld a couple nights ago. Uh, in a dream.

See, I was in New York City (?), hanging out at that diner featured in the Seinfeld show--you know the place, it's a bar called Cheers. (Huh?!) 'Course, inside it looked totally different from the set on the show. Anyway, Jason Alexander and Micheal Richards were there, and the three of us were hanging out all evening. And the thing that floored me was that Jason was just like George, and Michael was just like Kramer! Then Jerry stopped in with his wife, Shoshanna (HUH?!), and we chatted for a few minutes. He's a nice enough guy, although you can tell that he's a bit wary of strange idiots walking up and talking to him just because they think they "know" him from watching his show. Anyway, he left to go to "Plan 9 from Outer Space"--you know, that movie with the flaming globes of sigmund (what the...?!), and I spent the rest of the evening with the other two. No sign of Julia, however.

I woke up pretty groggy. I think Jason slipped me a Mickey.
