News Browser

I just spent 15 minutes typing a post (I'm using MS Internet Explorer) and I clicked "Post", then it said there was an error in connecting to news and my post was gone. Very frustrating.....has anyone experienced this? If there was a edit menu in the post window I wouild type it in Word then copy it and paste it in, but this isn't possible. I'm just frustrated and wondered if this is a common mishap (my ISP is ATT)

Believe me, I've had a lot of the "hard knocks" you are describing. You need another way to do it.

Why don't you just type it in Word (I know you said you can't, but just listen) then highlight your typed text use CTRL C then ALT-TAB to MSIE click post and then use CTRL V to paste it into a post message, then simply send it. I know for a fact this is the easiest shortcut. And BTW, I have never had/heard of this problem in any MSIE programs.

Why not use the "drafts" section of outlook express? Not sure if it saves messages as I've never used it but it must be there for some reason!

I had the same problem sometimes when I used MSIE. Every time I posted a message from that day, I got an error saying that something was wrong with that one post. All my later posts did get through, but that was an inconvenience. I've switched to Netscape Communicator and it's much better.
