Does Elaine have a drivers license?

Just a thought, but does Elaine have a drivers license? I have seen Jerry, George, Kramer and even Newman driving a car, but Elanie is never behind the wheel. She once pretended to be driving a car and talking on a celphone with the help of the noise of her dryblower, but that's the closest she ever got to driving as far as I know. She obviously doesn't have a car, because she usually takes a cab or the subway.

She did drive a friend's car once, I think last season and she was a very bad driver, but a licenced driver nonetheless.

yes! Elaine does drive...if you recall, her experience driving the Van Wyck. She was trying to get rid of one of her many annoying boyfriends, she was trying to get him to JFK airport...she was doing great, until she hit the Van Wyck... Also, there was episode where everyone who rode with Elaine, as she was driving, got nauseous.

There is one episode where we see Elaine's father, a mean, grizzled, reasonably well-known writer named Alston Benes. As Elaine says in that episode, usually he doesn't like anyone, and 'he pretty much thinks everyone is gay'. From what we learn in the episode, Elaine's parents are long-separated, and don't come into contact with each other. Both seem to be alive.

There was an episode when Elaine drove, but she hadn't driven in soo long that she was a terrible driver. She drove with Jerry in the car once, and he never rode with her again. :-)

I only ever remember seeing Elaine's father (Alton (sp?) Bennes) in one episode. The episode also involved Jerry's new suede jacket, and George not being able to get a song from Les Misables out of his head. The man that played Elaine's father in the episode, bared a striking resemblence to George C. Scott
