The Girl or The Voice? Movie Reference

It was "Hello" by Lionel Richie. Not sure about the movie reference, but they did the same thing when George was contemplating on whether or not to ask Susan to marry him (I think).

I'm not sure if it was a parody of a movie, but it was a parody of itself. That was the third time they employed the "boardwalk epiphany". George did it once and Jerry did it twice.

I've always wondered whether it was a specific movie parody too. That bit has always reminded me in a vague way of the ridiculous ending of "Indecent Proposal" where they find each other at the pier in the fog.

That also reminds me of the last scene in "Pretty Woman," where the birds scatter as the limo pulls up to Vivian's apartment. Probably wasn't the source of the Seinfeld parodies, but it's an interesting similarity.
