Fans loved the English Patient episode, praising the Mandelbaum scenes with Jerry and his father, George's jealousy subplot, and Elaine's widespread unpopularity for hating the movie.

I think this was one of the funniest episodes of the year. My favorite part of it was when the grandfather of the son of the older guy comes in and tries to lift the tv and they go on about being Mandelbaums. I was about to spit up my burrito!! It was so funny, I thought that it was funny about how everyone hated Elaine after she thought the english patient sucked. I didn't see it so I can't comment. George's obsession with that girls boyfriend was great. Kramer was dealing again with his old betting partner from the airplanes. And sneaking in the "bootleg cubans was great as well

I totally agree, I though the 3/12/97 episode was one of the best ever! It was like watching a classic Seinfeld episode. Jerry, his father, and the Mandelbaums was by far the best part, I was laughing out loud (which I rarely do) Long live SEINFELD.
