Kramer and clowns

I probably have not watched the episode where Kramer explains (or where it is shown) why he is afraid of clowns. Can anyone explain his fright for clowns, and what the reason for this is? In what episode does this happend? Rackare. Anv�nd tillbringa!

Also in "The Gymnast" Jerry is relunctant to go to the Circus and tells Kramer.."Well if i have to go..you have to go with me" and Kramer says "I can't go!! I'm afraid of clowns" and he's freaked out the whole time they are at the Circus...haha..but it's funny...they never explain why he's afraid of them.

I don't think there was ever an explanation for why Kramer was afraid of clowns. I also don't think any explanation was necessary. This is a very common phobia, and like most phobias tend to be totally without basis.
