I just watched the syndicated version of "The Betrayal", and I was wondering if anyone else notcied the removal of the scene where Kramer goes to Jerry's apartment, pours a bowl of Froot Loops, spills it, and rakes it into a nearby drawer, to later (or sooner in this case) be found by Jerry. Did anyone else notice this?

I agree. Just watched the Merv Griffin episode for the first time in syndication (my fav from last year) and, if I'm not mistaken, they left out the whole opening scene of Jerry walking with Kramer discussing how Kramer broke another item of Jerry's. Instead, they used the second scene, (wherein Kramer and Jerry approach the dumpster and Kramer sees the Merv Griffin furniture), as the opening scene. Did anyone else notice this, or did I accidentally cut off the opening scene when taping it. It will be interesting to note what scenes they find expendable in future episodes of syndication.

The thing about these shows is they are already so bare bones - nothing extra. That's part of what's brilliant. Every tiny moment is essential to the whole. The syndicators should be sued for this! Sued by the American Public. AS a matter of fact, Jerry should ahve made it part of the deal that they NOT cut out bits of it. .
I noticed key bits that were left out (luckily I have the orig on tape).
Left out items: 1. when FDR tells kramer that there was a rock in the snowball and kramer says that he felt it. 2. when elaine asks what time it is on the plane, and jerry said that she just asked that two minutes ago 3. when elaine asks what time it is 4. when elaine asks jerry about her chipped tooth

Are you serious? They actually cut that scene out? I thought they had butchered it as much as they possibly could by it's third time on NBC. I missed this episode this week, because I have to leave for work most nights before Seinfeld is over, and this was one that I would rather not leave partway through. But if they are still cutting it to pieces, eventually the beginning really will be the beginning, and the ending too! That's a shame.
