the superman in every seinfeld thing

this is said all of the time that there is a superman in every episode is this true i say no the parking garage- i don't think so what do you guys think?

Superman is represented in ALMOST EVERY Seinfeld episode. This is based on the fact that there is either a refrigerator magnet or a statue of superman in Jerry's apartment. Therefore if the episode is in Jerry's apt , then superman is in the show. That means a couple of real time episodes like The Parking Garage & The Chinese Resturant which do not ever allow the characters to get to Jerry's apartment DO NOT contain Superman (as far as I can see by the scripts there was NO verbal reference to Superman either in these particular shows. Finally Superman is not in the apartment in the first 4 shows. his first mention or appearance is in # 5 when Jery & George have the famous "super humor" debate.

"The Parking Garage" was not real time. Real time means no time lapses, and there were a few of those in that episode. "The Chinese Restaurant" was the only real time episode Seinfeld ever did.

There are other shows which don't include any action in Jerry's apartment. Those would be "The Pen", "The Movie", "The Airport", "The Hamptons", "The Subway", "The Limo", "The Merv Griffin Show" and "The Dealership". (And only a single brief camera shot of the place in "The Puerto Rican Day"). I don't recall if any of these contained any verbal reference to Superman.

Actually, Superman is either mentioned or shown in 128 out of 180 episodes, leaving 52 non-Superman episodes.

The Superman magnet made its first appearance during Season 4 in "The Shoes" (episode #56), and the Superman figurine first appears on Jerry's shelving unit a year later in "The Stall" (episode #76)

I'm pretty sure that there was a Superman ref. in The Chinese Restaurant. As for the Parking Garage - I'll scour the video when I have an hour or so free.

I'll take your word on the Chinese Rest. superman reference, but you stillhave to find him in the first 4 shows, The Pen & the Merv Griffin Episode AND this is by no means a complete list of shows where they do not get into Jerry's apt. It's just one of those myths that has been repeated (even written about) so many times that people accept it as a fact.
