Believe it or not......

I just finished watching two movies that I rented.....Basic Instinct & JFK.......

I am a big Seinfeld fan and I had no idea that Newman was in these two movies...

Anyhow, it turns out that in the episode that Jerry commits mail fraud and Newman is interogating him, that bit is taken from Basic Instinct, when Newman interogates Sharon Stone and he is sweating and all......

And in JFK, well in the episode with Keith Hernandez, Jerry demonstrates the magic spit theory on Kramer and Newman, and in JFK, Kevin Costner demonstrates the Magic bullet theory on some guy and Newman also....

Does anyone know of the link between these coincidences....Are they just coincidences??? Has anyone else noticed it???? Let me know what you guys think......

Yes, three Oliver Stone movies were parodied. Check my Movies Page for so many more that were done. It was things like this that added to the depth and dimension of the Seinfeld episodes - to weave the parodies into the show in a seamless manner was brilliant writitng.

Seinfeld is known to parody major films like this. Its not a coincidence.

Actually, that big wave is not from the movie "Nixon," it is from real life, when Nixon resigned in August 1974. He did the big wave and peace sign as he entered the plane.

so technically, I suppose it is from both.
