I was told that the last scene was the last scene filmed. That being where he does his standup routine inside prison.
i think the article in rolling stone contradicts that. I think they filmed the last scene in the middle of shooting in front of no one.

Okey dokey. The original "last" scene, the one where they are all in the holding cell, WAS shot in the middle of the 9 days of shooting.
However, after the entire show was done, Jerry thought up the prison/standup scene. It was actually shot LAST, after the entire show was done...and it was indeed the last scene in the show.
